Land pooling: Naidu happy with ryots’ response

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday said that farmers were coming forward to part with their land for the new capital as they were convinced that it would benefit them.

Replying to questions at a media conference, he said for the first time, farmers were coming forward and he was happy with their response.

Helping hand

While the Singapore Government was preparing the master plan for core capital area, Japan too has evinced interest in help in the process. “It will be a win-win situation overall,” he added.

Asked what had transpired during the meeting convened by Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan between him and his Telangana counterpart K. Chandrasekhar Rao after the ‘At Home’ programme at Raj Bhavan on Monday, he quipped: “Different people wrote differently giving their opinions. Let the suspense continue. We can tell officially, if there is something,” he added.
