Lakshmi Narasimha Kalyanam performed

Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Kalyanam was performed with fervour and grandeur at Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Bhuvanagiri in Rajampet on Monday.

Vedic pandits of Vijayawada S. Srinivasacharyulu, Krishnanamacharyulu, Lakshmanacharyulu, Praveen and Thakur and priests of Rajampet J. Raghurama Sarma, D. Krishnamohan and TTD Vedic pandit Rajasekhar Sarma performed the kalyanotsavam in the newly-built kalyana mandapam at the temple.

Opposition leader in A.P. Legislative Council C. Ramachandraiah, former MP G. Ramaiah, former Minister S. Saraswathamma, YSR Congress district president A. Amarnatha Reddy and TDP leaders G.N. Naidu and B. Hariprasad participated in the kalyanotsavam organised by the Pasupuleti Foundation Trust.

Trust chairman and former Minister P. Brahmaiah’s son P. Pradeep and wife performed ‘kanyadanam.’ Devotees of Rajampet, Vontimitta, Tsundupalli and Veeraballi participated.

Commentator Sottu Sambamurthy said the Bhuvanagiri temple was significant as saint-lyricist Tallapaka Annamacharya and Bhakta Kannappa, who offered his eyes to Sri Kalahasteeswara Swamy, offered prayers in the temple.
