‘Laksha Jana Garjana’ in Jammalamadugu on Wednesday

Samaikyandhra JAC will conduct a ‘Laksha Jana Garjana’ with one lakh people at the PR Government high school grounds in Jammalamadugu on September 4 and Polikeka meeting at the Annie Besant municipal school in Proddatur on September 5.

Additional Joint Collector M. Sudarshan Reddy and District Revenue Officer N. Easwaraiah hoisted Samaikyandhra balloon atop the DRDA office here.

Thousands of students participated in Porugarjana protest in Porumamilla on Tuesday and squatted on the roads.

Handloom weavers carried their looms atop tractors in a rally in Proddatur and expressed solidarity with teachers and JAC members staging relay fast.

Teachers and students walked on their knees in Vempalle with flowers in their ears and formed human chain.

Advocates continued their relay hunger strike for the 35th day and judicial employees for the 16th day in front of Kadapa district court and cooked food and dined on the road. An advocate, Pramod Kumar Reddy, danced in the guise of a demon on the road holding neem tree branches.

Mock funeral

Kadapa Municipal Corporation employees took out a mock funeral of Sonia Gandhi's effigy and burnt it at Seven Roads junction. A sanitary employee was dressed as a wild bear in the rally.

Muslims took out a rally and offered prayers at the Four-roads junction in Badvel town and Muslim children wielded sticks. Former MLA D.C. Govinda Reddy expressed support and addressed the Muslims.

Pushcart owners staged a rally and cooked food on the road in Mydukur.

Anti-bifurcation protesters cleansed Potti Sriramulu statue with milk in Khajipet.

People including a large number of women staged a rally from Ramanappa choultry to the Pulivendula tahsildar office and staged relay fast. YSRC leader Sivaprakash Reddy and Telugu Yuvatha State general secretary B. Ramgopal Reddy participated.
