Cardiologist receives prestigious fellowship

Palala Chandrasekhar, Head of Cardiology in Kurnool General Hospital, has received the prestigious Fellowship of the American College of Cardiology at Chicago last week.

Sporting the ceremonial convocation robes, Dr. Chandrasekhar, who is Andhra Pradesh unit president of the Cardiological Society of India, received the Fellowship certificate from American College of Cardiology president Kim Allan Williams Sr. and ACA secretary Robert A. Shor at the convocation ceremony held at Chicago in the US on April 4.

Two from State

Dr. Chandrasekhar from Kadapa and Dr. Keshav from Ongole were the only two cardiologists chosen for the Fellowship from Andhra Pradesh.

Cardiological Society of India national president Shantana Guha was also among the fellowship recipients.

In all, 15 cardiologists from India and 150 cardiologists across the globe were administered a pledge and were presented the fellowship certificates.
