Kundu in spate

Approach to some villages in Peddamudiyam mandal in Jammalamadugu constituency was cut off as Kundu river is in spate and water flowed over the Nakkaladinne and Peddamudiyam bridges on Wednesday, due to rainfall in the upstream areas.

Kundu river received inflow of about 30,000 cusecs at Rajoli anicut on Wednesday evening, as against 24,200 cusecs in the morning and 13,000 cusecs on Tuesday night. Kundu river flowed to the brink at the bridge at Seetharamapuram in Chapadu mandal.

Meanwhile, te flow of water in Pennar river was around 33,000 cusecs in the evening, as against 30,750 cusecs in the morning and 27,300 cusecs on Tuesday night.
