Union Minister of State for Communication and Technology Killi Kruprani's husband and Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) Doctors' Cell convener Killi Rammohan is all set contest from Tekkali Assembly. Srikakulam District Congress Committee (DCC) cleared his name and sent to PCC for ratification. The party high command is likely to clear the name as there is no competition for the seat.

Dr. Rammohan is hopeful to win the seat as he had been taking up social service activities under Rammohan Foundation for the last 15 years. He says he sacrificed his political career in 2009 for Korla Bharati who won from Tekkali seat on Congress ticket. She is likely to contest on Samaikyandhra Party ticket. DCC has also cleared names for other constituencies.

Probable candidates are Chowdary Satish (Srikakulam) Vanka Nageswara Rao (Palasa), Palavalasa Karunkar (Patapatnam), Dola Jagan (Narasannapeta), Majji Srinivasa Rao (Etcherla), Kondru Muralimohan (Etcherla), Boddepalli Satyavati (Amadalavalasa), and Nimmaka Sugreevulu (Palakonda).
