The Krishna University will introduce five new courses, including three diploma courses in Kuchipudi dance, from the academic year 2015-16. Syllabus has already been designed for the diploma courses in Kuchipudi for which the university will collaborate with the Kuchipudi Arts Academy (KAA).
“The university will enter into an MoU with the KAA to offer the dance courses, which will be taught by the experts with the support of Akhila Bharata Kuchipudi Natya Kala Mandali in Kuchipudi”,
KRU Vice-Chancellor V. Venkaiah told The Hindu . Applications would be invited from the interested candidates for the dance courses through KRU Common Entrance Test-2015.
However, candidates who seek admission into the dance courses need to qualify special selection procedure that was specially designed by the experts in the classical dance.
