KRU proposes Rs. 132 crore budget for 2015-16

The Krishna University (KRU) authorities have proposed a budget outlay of Rs. 132 crore for the financial year 2015-16.

The budget proposal emphasised timely completion of construction of the university buildings involving an estimated Rs. 98 crore, according to Krishna University Vice-Chancellor V. Venkaiah. The budget was recently presented before the Academic Senate of the university. “The State government is yet to respond to our proposal,” said Krishna University Registrar D. Suryachandra Rao.

Degree results

Mr. Venkaiah on Tuesday released the degree final year results, in which girls excelled with 59.65 pass percentage. A total of 2,273 girls secured first class among the total of 2,581 girls who passed the final year examinations. As many as 8,827 candidates belonging to all streams appeared for the final year degree examinations and 49.85 per cent of them passed.
