Former Chief Minister and president of the Jai Samaikyandhra Party (JSP), N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, on Wednesday appealed to people to vote for JSP and consequently to attain a ‘United Andhra Pradesh’.
Speaking on the first day of the two-day road show in Anantapur district alongside the party’s Anantapur parliamentary constituency co-ordinator, Charles Chiranjeevi Reddy, he said that all political parties in the fray in the current election had supported the division of the State while he and others leaders of the JSP had fought tooth and nail to oppose the proposal.
He also said that the JSP was confident of halting the bifurcation.
Even as he appealed to the people to vote for JSP, he said that all of its candidates were true believers of united Andhra Pradesh and had even taken active part in the Samaikyandhra movement without hoping for any political gain.
Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy, who came to Puttaparthy from Bangalore, held a road show in the Puttaparthy constituency and moved on to Anantapur town.
While the response for the road show in Puttaparthy was minimal, the road show in Anantapur had sizeable crowd.
The road show will move onto the Kadiri town, which is part of the Kadiri assembly constituency tomorrow via parts of the Dharmavaram constituency.
