Kesineni denied LS ticket

April 13, 2014 11:52 pm | Updated May 21, 2016 11:05 am IST - Hyderabad:

Rumblings within the TDP over allocation of the seats in the Seemandhra region have gathered momentum.

Kesineni Srinivas (Nani), a strong aspirant for the Vijayawada Lok Sabha seat, is the latest to join the list of several others who are unhappy over the party leadership’s decision to deny tickets from seats they have nurtured for quite some time.

Mr. Nani, who was aspiring for Vijayawada Lok Sabha, was reportedly told by the party leadership to select either Vijaywada West or Penamaluru Assembly constituencies instead of Vijayawada Lok Sabha. Mr. Nani had been summoned by TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu to the city on Sunday at a time when the party is said to be gearing up to release its third list late on Sunday night. Senior leaders Kodela Sivaprasada Rao, Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary and others are reportedly sulking against the party leadership for conceding Narasaraopet and Rajahmundry Urban assembly constituencies to the BJP.
