‘KCR used Telangana movement to wield power’

TDP leaders from Telangana said that they would expose the ‘self-serving rule’ of Telangana Chief Minister

Accusing the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) of resorting to misrule and deceiving people, TDP leaders from Telangana said that they would expose the ‘self-serving rule’ of Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and his family.

Adopting a resolution on ‘TRS government’s promises and failures and its undemocratic and chaotic administration’ at the party Mahanadu here, several TDP leaders – Erabilli Dayakar Rao, Mothkupalli Narasimhulu, Rajendar Reddy, D.Anasuya and Narsi Reddy—said that KCR had confused the people all these days.

The leaders also urged TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu to give posts offered by the NDA government to Telangana TDP leaders to boost the morale of party workers.

Accusing the TRS of engineering defections by luring TDP MLAs with Cabinet posts while denying the same to Dalits, women, who had spearheaded the Telangana movement, Mr. Dayakar Rao said that the TRS had failed in fulfilling its poll promises even after a year in the office, adding that the party was fast losing ground in Telangana.

He claimed that that the TDP would win all the seats held by defected MLAs, if fresh elections were held. KCR has used the Telangana movement to garner power for himself and his family, he alleged. People believed KCR’s provocative and misleading statements that lands, jobs would be theirs for asking in separate Telangana and hundreds of youth sacrificed their lives to achieve Statehood, he said.
