Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K. Chandrasekhar Rao has accepted the challenge of Telugu Desam leader N. Chandrababu Naidu for a public debate on each other’s contribution to Telangana region and dared him to fix the a date and venue for it.
In the ongoing war of words between them, Mr. Rao said here on Wednesday that Mr. Naidu had no right to speak against him since he had been pursuing the cause of separate Telangana relentlessly.
He alleged that Mr. Naidu was “corrupt” as he had acquired several properties for himself and his family and his grouse against him was that he lost power in 2009 on account of the TRS.
Mr. Rao was speaking to reporters after a TRS legislature party meeting on the eve of the Assembly session.
The meet decided to wait and watch before finalising its strategy since the State government itself was playing the role of Opposition as reflected by Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy’s outburst against the Congress high command.
Mr. Rao accused Mr. Naidu of ‘hatching conspiracies’ and trying to stall a separate Telangana in the name of equal justice to both regions.
