Nellore Rural MLA warns separatists of serious consequences
Congress leader and Nellore Rural MLA Anam Vivekananda Reddy criticised TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao, saying that the KCR family was exploiting the Telangana sentiment to create differences between the people of different regions in the State. Taking part in a pro-Samaikyandhra demonstration here on Sunday, Mr. Vivekananda Reddy asserted that nobody would be able to divide Andhra Pradesh as this was the first State to be formed based on linguistic lines following great sacrifices made by Telugu people. He warned the separatists of serious consequences if they continued with their divisive politics even after seeing the growing support for a united State. Mr. Vivekananda Reddy deplored that the KCR family was resorting to rampant exploitation of the regional sentiment and this was evident from the fact that KCR’s family members were occupying all the major posts in the party. “A day will come when Telangana people will see through KCR’s true character. Then they will throw the KCR family out of Telangana,” he added.
Stating that the Telugu people were living happily as a single entity until now, Mr. Vivekananda Reddy said that their peace was disturbed because of the campaign launched by some people with vested interests. He praised the manner in which the Potti Sriramulu JAC conducted the week-long educational institutions’ bandh successfully following a Statewide call. He asked the JAC leaders and the management of colleges to continue instilling the spirit of Samaikyandhra in students by sparing a few hours every day as the classes run from October 1. Nellore Urban MLA Mungamuru Sridhar Krishna Reddy took serious objection to the remarks made by Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha. He said that Narasimha’s remarks would also hold good for himself as he was also not elected by the MLAs directly.
