The ‘Karthika Vana Samaradhana’, the event organised by the Forest Department at Kuppam, the constituency of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, received overwhelming response from the public.
The programme, jointly chalked out by Divisional Forest Officer (Chittoor) T. Chakrapani, Kuppam special officer Priyanka, witnessed the participation of over two thousand people. The gathering was enthralled with delicious community lunch, consisting of choicest vegetarian dishes, at ‘Karthika Vanam’ at Nadumuru near Kuppam. Forest officials arranged an awareness camp on afforestation and protection of wildlife for the school students from all over the constituency.
Mr Chakrapani said that celebration of ‘Karthika Vana Samaradhana’ will lead to creating a lot of awareness among the young minds regarding the importance of forests and its inseparable relationship with mankind. The Forest Department officials gave away prizes to the winners of various competitions.
