Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham on Thursday said that members of the Kapu Reservation Joint Action Committee and other supporters would sit in from morning till evening at the main gate of his residence from Friday.

Addressing a meeting after the JAC leaders staged a protest by wearing black shirts, Mr. Padmanabham said the sit in was against the police denying them permission to take out a padayatra to Amaravati to mount pressure on the government to include the community in the list of BCs.

The Kapu leader said he had informed about the protest programme to DSP Rama Rao and made it clear to him that the JAC leaders would continue the agitation until the government permitted them to take out the padayatra.

JAC leaders Akula Ramakrishna and Vasireddy Yesudas were among others who wore black shirts as part of the day’s protest programme.

Speaking on this occasion Mr. Ramakrishna said the TDP government was testing their patience. He said members of the community would teach the TDP a fitting lesson at an appropriate time.
