Kakinada man to attend biodiversity authors’ meet

Ravishankar Thupalli, biodiversity and mangrove management consultant for international organisations, including the UNDP, will attend the UN-Intergovernmental Science Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) first authors’ meeting for regional assessment of biodiversity and ecosystem services for Asia- Pacific.

This is the first of a series of meetings, which will be held from August 17 to 21 at the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies, Tokyo, Japan. Dr. Ravishankar, one of the lead authors, will support the thematic area, ‘Land Degradation and Restoration for the Asia Pacific Region from 2015 to 2018’.
