Kadapa District Armed Reserve (DAR) cricket team bagged the Crystal Cup by defeating Pulivendula sub-divisional police team in the finals of Kadapa District Police Cricket tournament in Kadapa police parade ground on Saturday.
Kadapa Superintendent of Police Navin Gulati presented the cup to the winning team. Sudhakar of DAR team was adjudged man of the match and Pravin of Pulivendula team as player of the tournament.
The DAR team which won the toss and opted to field bowled out the Pulivendula team for 106 runs in 17.3 overs. Pulivendula batsman Pravin scored 19 runs. DAR bowler Sudhakar took three wickets and Reserve sub-inspector Titus took two wickets. DAR team scored the targeted 107 runs in just 13.5 overs by losing four wickets.
DAR’s Ghouse scored 30 runs in 17 deliveries and RSI Titus 28 runs in 24 balls. Pulivendula Assistant SP Anburajan, Baba, Salim and Ali took one wicket each. Kadapa DSP E.G. Ashok Kumar, AR DSP Muralidhar, Special Branch DSP Rajagopal Reddy, Faction Zone DSP B.Srinivasulu, and circle inspectors were present on the occasion.
