The BJP and the YSRCP are in a “ quid pro quo ” mode in spite of the pending corruption cases against the YSRCP leaders and their continued demand for Special Category Status, according to AP SC Corporation Chairman Jupudi Prabhakar Rao.

Instances such as the YSRCP getting some benefits, praising the Union Budget, and its leaders repeatedly going to the Prime Minister’s Office was raising suspicion, he said at a press conference here on Friday.

Pattiseema row

The attachment of the properties of its leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was being set aside of late, he said.

Reacting to the questions on the BJP demanding a CBI inquiry into the Pattiseema lift scheme, he questioned the credibility of the CBI stating it was the handmaiden of the government in power. “We will not ask for a probe. They (BJP people) are in power and let them order an inquiry,” he said.

The BJP was undermining the cooperative federalism and the cultural diversity of the country, he alleged. Its fall would begin with the defeat in Karnataka, he said.

On April 20, the birthday of the Chief Minister, a rally would be taken out with one lakh Dalits in Vijayawada, he said.
