HRD Minister Ganta Srinivas on Monday said a judicial probe had been ordered into the alleged irregularities in the postings of District Education Officers in the State.

Responding to the charges, Mr. Ganta said retired high court judge Justice Thotakura Ranga Rao would lead the judicial inquiry.

The Justice T. Ranga Rao committee would have to submit a report in a month’s time, Mr. Ganta said.

Temporarily suspended

The posting of DEOs had been temporarily suspended and necessary action would be taken against the offenders based on the committee's report, the Minister said.

Justice Ranga Rao is currently serving as the APFRC chairperson.
