Jilted lover attacks Guntur women's college student

A second year student of Government Women’s College was attacked by an unidentified youth on the college premises here on Thursday sending shock waves among the students.

The victim, Venkata Ramana, 20 years, was rushed to the Government General Hospital Trauma Care and her condition is still serious.

Eye witnesses said that the youngster, who has been stalking the student for some time, took out a hammer and hit her on the head after a brief fight at the cycle stand.

The girl who stays at the ZP Mahila Pranganam is a native of Thullur mandal. Police collected CCTV images at the college and are pursuing leads. The girl however, said that she did not recognize the stalker.
