Will the proposed Dagadarthi airport near Kavali town here ever materialise?

What is the status of Dugarajapatnam port that has been promised in the AP Reorganisation Act 2014? What are the problems facing the Somasila irrigation project and give some solutions?

These are some of the issues and local problems in the Nellore district that form part of the questionnaire for the aspirants who took part in the two-day talent search drive taken up by actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party State-level team here on Tuesday.

One of the questions sought comments of the participants on whether national leaders of North India show discrimination against the southern states with regard to fund allocation and major projects.

As many as 2,000 persons from different professions and backgrounds made online registrations for this camp in Nellore.

Some more persons, who arrived from the rural areas, got registered at the camp here. Their skills were tested in speaking, content writing and analytical abilities.

Local issues

“We chose mostly local issues while preparing the questionnaire. The response has been good and there are participants from all age groups. All this is to search for potential and talented individuals for strengthening the party organisations in the coming days,” said P. Hari Prasad, media head of Jana Sena.

Besides youth, there was also good representation from senior citizens, retired teachers, well-educated individuals and a few women.

All the participants in this talent search would automatically become activists of the Jana Sena Party and the present drive was just meant to identify areas where a specific activist’s resources could be used effectively.

The party leadership’s aim was to form committees at mandal, village and booth level in due course of time, he said.
