YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy has threatened to undertake an indefinite fast on Monday for being humiliated by the Chanchalguda jail authorities.

He complained to the Special CBI Court where he was produced this morning that he was transited to the Court from prison in a mini-bus like a criminal. He explained that he was an MP and was only facing charges that had not been proved so far.

Wondering how he could be shifted like an ordinary criminal when he was a ‘Z’ category protectee, he told the Court that he would go on fast in jail if action was not taken against those responsible for meting out such treatment to him.

Explaining that transit of the accused in judicial custody would not come under their purview; the CBI said the jail authorities would take care of such things.

Later, the jail authorities produced a bullet proof vehicle and transported Mr. Reddy back to the Chanchalguda prison.

Meanwhile, the Special Court extended till June 25 the judicial remand of Mr. Jagan, who is facing charges in the disproportionate assets cases. The CBI probing the case filed a petition seeking the Court's permission for narco-analysis tests on Mr Reddy stating that he had not cooperated with them completely during the 7-day interrogation in two spells and that he had given unrelated replies.
