Deputy Chief Minister K.E. Krishnamurthy on Thursday wondered why the Union Ministers were giving appointment to YSR Congress president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, who is an accused in cases filed by the CBI and the ED.
Accusing Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy of spreading canards against Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in his Delhi tour, Mr. Krishnamurthy termed as far from truth the charge that the TDP was luring the opposition party’s MLAs with pecuniary offers.
Even YSR Congress MLAs had no clue as to the purpose of Mr. Jagan’s Delhi trip, he said.
MLAs were deserting the YSR Congress as they were unable to get along with their leader. They were joining the TDP as Mr. Chandrababu Naidu’s sole agenda was development, he added.
Even senior leaders like M.V. Mysura Reddy left the YSR Congress saying that Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy would not heed to the advice of anybody, Mr. Krishnamurthy said.
Yemmiganur MLA B. Jayanageswara Reddy accused Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy of tarnishing the image of Andhra Pradesh in Delhi.
Former Minister T.G. Venkatesh said that the YSRC would be routed in the ensuing Kurnool Municipal Corporation elections.
