Jagan seeks CBI probe

April 28, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:54 am IST - HYDERABAD:

The YSR Congress has demanded that the Central Government order an inquiry by the CBI into the crossing over of some of his party MLAs into the ruling TDP in Andhra Pradesh.

The investigation agency should be asked to look into the source of money that was received by the defectors as it would bring out the facts pertaining to the charges of corruption against TDP president and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, YSR Congress president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said. Mr. Jagan, who is in Delhi, led the party delegation to meet Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and leaders of other political parties on Wednesday. He alleged that there were 31 major scams in the 24-month rule of the TDP and the ill-gotten amount was being used to lure his party MLAs into the ruling party’s fold.
