Jagan postpones his yatra by a month

June 08, 2010 03:04 am | Updated 03:04 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Congress MP from Kadapa Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy has announced postponement of the next leg of his Odarpu Yatra slated to start from Srikakulam on Tuesday to July 8, coinciding with the birth anniversary of late Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy.

In an open letter to the people on Monday evening, Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy said he took the decision in the light of a phone call received from a representative of the party high command on Sunday night. “The essence of the telephone call is a request to indefinitely postpone my yatra `for the reasons unknown'.

The Kadapa MP recalled that he had planned to resume Odarpu Yatra in Srikakulam from June 8.
