The ‘Rythu Bharosa Yatra’ of YSR Congress president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy continued amid tense situation on the third day on Friday as TDP cadres were up in arms against the indecent comments he allegedly made against Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

With a vernacular daily reporting that Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy had made indecent comments against Mr. Naidu, TDP cadre, under the leadership of Tadipatri MLA J.C. Prabhakar Reddy, tired to obstruct the roadshow of Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy in Yadiki mandal headquarters.

“I did not think that you are such an imprudent person,” Mr. Prabhakar Reddy said as he set off for Yadiki.

Meanwhile, police swung into action and stopped Mr. Prabhakar Reddy near Chukkaluru. They also prevented TDP cadre from reaching the roadshow venue.

TDP leaders across the district decried Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy’s criticism of Mr. Naidu.

“Mr. Jagan seems to have lost his balance of mind. Having understood this, his party legislators have taken a decision to join the TDP,” said TDP chief whip K. Srinivasulu.

Dig at JC brothers

On the other hand, former Anantapur MP Ananta Venkatrami Reddy criticised the TDP in general and the “JC brothers” (Anantapur MP J.C. Diwakar Reddy and Tadipatri MLA J.C. Prabhakar Reddy) in particular, and said that his party men would not be cowed down by their antics.

“We are neither interested in contracts nor money. We will remain with the people and fight for them,” he said.
