“Jagan cannot claim YSR’s political legacy”

July 09, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:55 am IST - CHITTOOR:

Leaders and cadre of the Congress, led by APCC official spokesperson T. Parthasarathy Reddy, on Friday observed the 67th birth anniversary of the former Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, at Jangala Agraharam of Baireddipalle mandal in Palamaner constituency. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Parthasarathy Reddy said that YSR Congress president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy had no right to claim political legacy of the late leader. He said that it was unfortunate that the YSR Congress leaders were celebrating the birth anniversary for gaining political mileage, forgetting the fact that the former Chief Minister had lived and worked as a hardcore Congressman.

“Only the Congress has the right to propagate Rajasekhara Reddy’s services to the people. Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy can celebrate YSR’s birth anniversary as his son, but not as president of a political party,” he said.

YSRC campaign

Meanwhile, the YSRC Punganur MLA P. Ramachandra Reddy launched the campaign, Gadapa Gadapaku YSR, in Chittoor and Palamaner towns.
