JAC to agitate for Greater Rayalaseema

MRPS will play a key role in stir: Veeraiah

SC, ST and BC organisations formed Rayalaseema Social Organisations Joint Action Committee here on Thursday with Ambedkar Mission general secretary A. Sampath Kumar as steering committee chairman to agitate for Greater Rayalaseema State with Nellore, Prakasam and four other districts of Rayalaseema.

MRPS would play a key role in the agitation for Greater Rayalaseema, MRPS South India president Dandu Veeraiah told the newsmen in YSR Memorial Press Club here.

The Greater Rayalaseema State should be formed under the leadership of Dalit and other weaker sections, Mr. Sampath Kumar said.

A.P. BC Mahasabha convenor A. Mallikarjuna, MPRS leader K.C. Lakshmaiah, Rayalaseema SC, ST Human Rights Forum leader J.V. Ramana, Erukala Chaitanya Vedika leader J.C. Subbarayudu, APCLC leader B. Ganganna, Rayalaseema Mala Mahanadu leader G. Srinivasulu, Dalit Praja Party president S. Manohar, Weaker Sections Welfare Association leader K. Balakrishna Yadav, Yadav Samkshema Sangham leader G. Narayana Yadav, A.P. Dalita Samakhya leader K. Yellaiah and others would be the members of the JAC.

Mr. Sampath Kumar demanded that the Centre sanction a Rs. 2 lakh crore package for the development of Rayalaseema and flayed the leaders for ignoring the development of the region.
