It’s vote for stable Government: Pawan

May 16, 2014 08:28 pm | Updated November 16, 2021 06:23 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

Actor and founder of Jana Sena Party, Pawan Kalyan, who threw in his lot with the National Democratic Alliance, hailed the victory of the BJP and its allies in the Centre and that of the Telugu Desam in Andhra Pradesh, and said it was proof enough that people had voted for good governance and a stable government.

He said it was heartening to note that people like BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu and a host of others, including himself, had gotten together to motivate people to vote for the right candidates.

He told presspersons here on Friday afternoon that he was especially pleased with the electoral results, as they came at a time when he was disgusted, exasperated enough to even consider becoming an ‘armed revolutionary’ against governments that had scant respect for democracy and neglected people’s welfare.

“I heartily congratulate Mr. Modi, Mr. Naidu and TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao for their victory. Whether it is Mr. Rao or Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy, let me clarify that I do not have anything personal against them. The disappointment was only because of their attitude towards people and the way they put the self and political interests before that of society,” he stated.

Asked about his future plans, Mr. Kalyan reiterated that he was not after power and position. “I am in the process of building the organisational structure of Jana Sena,” he added.
