Interim orders on Jayadev’s election recalled

Principal District Judge S.M. Rafee on Friday recalled interim orders issued on the election of Guntur MP Galla Jayadev as president of the Andhra Olympic Association, after petitioner M. Rajesh Kumar, general secretary of A.P Gymnastic Association, filed an affidavit, stating there was an impersonation of his name in the petitioned filed on April 4.

The Judge also ordered a probe into allegations of impersonation. Joint Secretary of A.P Olympic Association K. Pattabhiram produced the copies of the affidavit filed in the court by Mr. Rajesh Kumar.

Mr. Kumar said that he had not filed any petition in the court of Principal District Judge challenging the election held at Tirupati on April 4. He asked the court to recall the orders passed and take legal action on the charges of impersonation.
