Activists of women organisations staged a protest at the Three Town police here on Wednesday, seeking the arrest of Inspector Yugandhar (CID) in relation to the suspicious death of his wife Visali.

The family members of the deceased also took part in the protest.
The protesters staged demonstrations both at the place of post-mortem and the police station, demanding action against the culprit alleging that vested interests were trying to destroy the evidences.
Mahila Sangam leaders alleged the involvement of Yugandhar in the murder of his wife, who died of a serious head injury.
Action sought
CPI National Committee member consoled the victim’s family and urged the police to take action against the Inspector, irrespective of his official position.
