The body of a male infant was found in a municipality dustbin in Lakshmi Nagar area here on Friday.

According to the police, the baby was found lying down on its face with ill developed limbs and dead by municipal staff when they went to clear the bin around 9 a.m.

While the police are yet to identify the parents of the infant, it is being presumed that the child was delivered just a few hours ago and possibly in the government hospital.

The police have started an investigation into the issue.

A month ago, a girl child was found alive in a dustbin in the Sai Nagar area.
