IFCs will be built in nine districts: Ganta

District in-charge and HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao said that priority before the government was to develop infrastructure in all the districts, and that it would be constructing integrated financial complexes, each at a cost of ₹10 crore, in nine districts in the State, including Vizianagaram.

After laying the foundation stone for IFC (District Treasury) here on Sunday, Mr. Ganta said the complex would be completed in the next nine months. and sought cooperation of the elected representatives and officials for its early completion.

Infrastructure

Detailing progress of works at other places, Mr. Ganta said tenders were called for construction of additional classrooms, compound walls, and toilets in schools at an estimated cost of ₹5,000 crore.

The Chief Minister had allocated grants in addition to the budgetary grant for development of infrastructure facilities, he added. Mines Minister R.V.S.K. Ranga Rao said that the IFC building which will have 40,000 sqft, would house Treasury, Pay and Accounts, APGLI, and State Audit departments. MLAs P. Narayana Swamy Naidu, K.A. Naidu, and M. Geeta, MLC Gummadi Sandhya Rani, Municipal Chairperson P. Ramakrishna, Collector Vivek Yadav and others were present.
