The World Bank arm IFC on Monday said it has completed the advisory work for Andhra Pradesh to provide advanced diagnostic services to low and middle income people through four State-run hospitals.

“As the lead transaction advisor, IFC extended its global expertise for structuring and implementing public-private partnership transactions to assist the AP government on this project,” IFC said in a statement.

IFC was appointed by Andhra last November to advice it on upgrading diagnostic services at the Kakinada, Kurnool, Vishakhapatnam, and Warangal medical colleges through private participation, it added.

The project has been awarded to a consortium of Wipro-GE Healthcare and Medall Healthcare after a competitive bidding process.
