Age is no bar learning proves S.L.P.A.Sarma who has been selected for this year’s Maharshi Badrayan Vyas Samman Award for the year 2016 by President Pranab Mukheree for his outstanding contributions to enrichment of Sanskrit.
Mr. Sarma, native of remote Annasamudram village, near Tripurantakam in Prakasam district, does research on ‘Mimamsa’ under the guidance of Vedic scholar Prof. K. Ramasubramanya Sastry.
Well-versed with Vyakarna, Alankara sastra, Vedantam, the research scholar from French Oriental Research Institute, Puducherry says “understanding Mimamsa, philsophical theories based on Vedas is imperative.”
Happy over getting the Presidential award, 65-year-old Sarma dedicated it to his mentor Prof. S. Sambamoorthy Sastry and his parents, Srirama Sarma, his first guru and Bramarambha.
