‘Government has agreed to pay the salaries of library employees through 010 account’

The State Government will provide health card facility for all government employees. Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy will make a statement in this regard by Ugadi festival, said the AP NGOs Association State President and Joint Action Committee Chairman V. Gopala Reddy.

Speaking at a programme here on Sunday, Mr. Reddy said the government had agreed to provide health cards for the employees of all departments and a GO would be issued soon in this regard.

The JAC was demanding that the government give two years childcare leave for women employees and regularisation of services of contract staff in all departments. The NGOs association was also fighting regarding other problems including implementation of the Tenth Pay Revision Commission (PRC) and abolition of outsourcing system.

Following the request of the NGOs association, government had agreed to pay the salaries of library employees through 010 account.

The association would also try to stop merging of the offices of Regional Joint Director (RJD) and Assistant Project Officer (APO) Publicity offices with District Public Relations Officer (DPRO) offices in the state, proposed by the Information and Public Relations Department, said the association state general secretary P. Ashok Babu.

Later, the newly elected body of AP NGOs Association Vijayawada Urban unit assumed office. The 18-member body was elected unanimously on Sunday, said the NGO association leaders.

The elected members are K. Ravi (president), V. Suri Babu (associate president), four vice-presidents, P. Ramesh (secretary), Abdul Raheem (organising secretary), four joint secretaries, J. Swamy (treasurer) and other members. AP NGOs association West Krishna district president A. Vidyasagar presided over the programme.

MLC Boddu Nageswara Rao, members of AP Libraries Employees Association, Andhra Pradesh Universities Employees Association, AP Public Sector Federation and other associations participated.
