Error-free but not free of controversies -- that’s how the Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (Eamcet), conducted on Friday, can be described this year.

Malpractice attempts using hi-tech gadgets continued to haunt the medical stream test this year too and 50 persons, including some lecturers were picked up across the State, for their alleged role. The arrested persons allegedly belong to the Gurivi Reddy gang that was involved in similar attempts a couple of years back in the State and also the PG entrance exam of the PGI Chandigarh last Nov. Eamcet-2013 Convenor N.V. Ramana Rao, however, said candidates need not worry as the attempts at malpractice were nipped in the bud itself.
