Several poets, writers and academicians on Wednesday strongly felt that Mahakavi Gurajada Apparao would continue to inspire younger generation as his ideas were relevant for the present society.

Gurajada Educational Society chairperson G.V. Swami Naidu offered floral tributes to Gurajada statue in the premises of Gayatri College on the occasion of his birth anniversary.

Mr. Swami Naidu said his writings caught the attention of the literary world and many new angles could be observed if anybody keenly followed his books. Poet and writer Pulakhandam Srinivasa Rao said social issues of North Andhra were perfectly reflected in Gurajada’s writing.

In an another function organised in Chaitanya College, Srikakulam MLA Gunda Lakshmi Devi and Ambedkar University Registrar Gunta Tulasi Rao urged the youngsters to study

Gurajada Apparao’s books and his biography to understand the social evils in those days.

They said that North Andhra could produce many poets and writers with the inspiration of Gurajada, Srirangam Srinivasa Rao and Changanti Somyajulu.
