Replica of Kanipakam Varasiddhi Ganapati was installed on the banks of river Godavari by the Rajamahendri Ganesh Utsav Committee (RGUC) in the city where 7,200 kg ‘Guinness Laddu’ was placed in front of the idol. People are thronging Pushkara Ghat area, to witness both the idol and laddu.

The unique feature of this year’s RGUC’s pandal is that they have arranged Samaikyandhra Ganapati as backdrop of the main idol and on the Guinness Laddu there were emblems of Paravati-Parameswara, Telugu Talli, Amarajeevi Potti Sriramulu, Samaikyandhra map and other features with cream. These emblems were designed by popular miniature artist Dontamsetti Bala Nageswara Rao of Mandapeta who took only 48 hours to design emblems after the preparation of ‘Guinness Laddu’.

It has to be recalled that the Guinness Laddu was prepared by Saladi Venakateswara Rao, mostly known as Srinubabu of Bhakthanjaneya Sweets, Tapeswaram, who entered Guinness Book consecutively for two times (from 2011) for making largest Laddu in the World .

Popular sculptor from Kothapeta area, Devaguptapu Rajakumar Vadayar has designed the main idol Varasiddhi Vinayaka swami, a replica of Kanipakam Ganapati . He also sculptured about 48 Ganapati idols as ‘Dasavatara Ganapatis’ and in other postures like Vidya, Nritya, and Tandava Ganapati. According to Jakkampudi Raja, who is the main organiser of RGUC all the nine-days they cultural programmes would be organised in a big way. He also mentioned that people in large numbers are thronging from yesterday morning and appreciating their effort for giving Samaikyandhra message through their pandal.

Kismiss Vinayaka: A business establishment in Lakshmivarapupeta ‘Vridhi-Siddhi’ showroom, have installed 10 feet Ganesh idol with kismiss, which is attracting the public in the town. In the same area, another idol has been installed with dry-fruits .

Astra-Sastra Ganapti with 15-feet height is the main attraction at Chiranjeevi bus shelter near Kambala Tank .
