June 26, 2016 12:00 am | Updated October 18, 2016 02:52 pm IST - NELLORE:

In the wake of group rivalry coming to the fore, Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana is stated to have started closely monitoring the developments in the Nellore Municipal Corporation in a bid to prevent any disputes.

The groups of Telugu Desam Party led by Mayor Abdul Aziz and the Anam family have been locking horns on the issue of works and schemes being carried out in the municipal corporation limits.

Following this, the raids conducted by Anti Corruption Bureau on the municipal corporation have also become controversial with the two groups issuing statements against each other.

The TDP State leadership has taken serious view of these developments and drew the attention of Mr. Narayana so that he would be able to sort this out through close monitoring.

He is stated to have decided to monitor Nellore issues regularly.
