In order to spare long-distance candidates from travel-related difficulties, it has been decided to conduct the main examination for recruitment to the post of Panchayat Secretary (Gr-IV) on two days — August 6 and 7.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday, Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission Secretary Y.V.S.T. Sai said for the candidates selected for the main examination from the districts of Krishna, West Godavari, Srikakulam and Visakhapatnam, the exam would be held on August 6 while those from Vizianagaram, East Godavari, Nellore and Kurnool would write it on August 7.
Hall tickets would be available for downloading in the next three days.
The main exam for Group-I services would be held from August 17 to August 28 as notified.
Welfare officer posts
The screening test for filling up of 29 posts of Assistant Social Welfare Officer/Assistant BC Welfare Officer/Assistant Tribal Welfare Officer was held on June 25. Of the 38,897 applicants, 18,143 candidates appeared for the screening test. Of them, 1,450 were short-listed for the mains in the ratio of 1:50 and the list displayed on the commission’s website psc.ap.gov.in. The mains exam (computer-based) would be held on September 22 and 23 as scheduled.
