Grandeur marks ‘Tirunallu’

Singarakonda, the abode of Prasannanjaneya Swamy and Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy, was abuzz with religious activity as the festivities reached the peak on the concluding day of the three-day annual ‘Tirunallu’ festival coinciding with the ‘Phalguna Shudda Pournima’ day on Thursday.

State Transport Minister Sidda Raghava Rao was among the over one lakh devotees who thronged the twin temples near Addanki in Prakasam district to have darshan of Lord Hanuman and Lakshminarasimha Swamy tastefully decorated with choicest flowers, betel and basil leaves by a group of priests led by V. Harishankar Avadhani.

A heavy rush of devotees was witnessed right from dawn. The crowd is expected to continue till the early hours of Friday, said Temple Executive Officer and Endowments Assistant Commissioner R. Ramanammma while supervising the crowd management by joint teams of the temple and Addanki police.

The special decoration to the Lord would be retained on Friday also for the benefit of devotees.
