Transport Minister Sidda Raghava Rao on Tuesday asserted that the State government was committed to implementing the ‘NTR Bharosa’ scheme, despite the financial burden on the State .

Taking part in the ‘Janmabhoomi-Maa Vooru’ programme in his home constituency of Darsi, he said all eligible persons would be given pension under the scheme which entailed an additional burden of Rs 6,000 crore on the State exchequer. Allaying the fears of those pensioners whose names had been deleted from the list of beneficiaries owing to technical reasons, he said names of such persons would be included after re-verification.

Earlier, the Minister joined by Collector G.S.R.K.R. Vijaykumar and cleaned the main road in Darsi under the ‘Parisubra Prakasam’ campaign. As part of the campaign, 5,750 educational institutions, market and other public places were cleaned on Tuesday.
