Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy did not speak like a politician, but put forth many issues that would confront the people if Andhra Pradesh was bifurcated, Government Whip Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao said on Friday while hitting back at Congress leaders of Telangana for criticising the Chief Minister.

Mr. Kiran Reddy wanted people of all regions to live together and wanted to show how the problems would crop up (after bifurcation), Mr. Srinivasa Rao said at a press conference and demanded the Telangana Congress leaders to withdraw the comments they made on Chief Minister.

“It was not the CM but the Telangana leaders who crossed the party line. They stalled proceedings of the Parliament in the presence of party president Sonia Gandhi and never pulled up TRS leader K. Chandrasekhar Rao when he abused the Congress party, Ms. Gandhi and even Indira Gandhi and Nehru or made provocative statements against people from Seemandhra region living in Hyderabad.”

Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy never insulted the Telangana agitation or its people, he said.

Instead of criticising the Chief Minister, the Telangana leaders could approach the party leadership and seek clarification on how the water, power and other issues could become complicated or give solutions, if they have any, felt the Government Whip.
