Govt cancels admission in 14 colleges in A.P.

April 06, 2015 05:51 pm | Updated 05:51 pm IST - VISAKHAPATNAM:

The State Government has annulled the admission in 11 engineering colleges and three pharmacy colleges across the State for the academic year 2014-15.

The decision was taken after a committee formed by the Government found that the colleges were indulging in gross irregularities in the admission for the last couple of years.

This was disclosed by HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao at a press meet held here on Monday.

The Minister said that the Government will now crackdown on the B.Ed Colleges, as the education department had received a number of complaints on a few colleges.
