A six-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped by two persons in Kanigiri town of Prakasam District on Thursday.
The girl, D. Sahasra, was playing in front of her house when the offenders came in a motorcycle and whisked her away, Superintendent of Police Ch. Srikanth said.
The girl's parents, both teachers in a local school, lodged a complaint with the police.
Inquiries with the neighbours revealed that the girl did not raise any alarm as it was one of her relatives and his associate had taken her away. The Police suspect that it might be the handiwork of the girl's uncle who had gone bankrupt.
