Girl dies of dengue in Kurnool

A second standard student Tejaswini, 7, died of suspected dengue fever in Tummalapalle village in Mahanandi mandal in Kurnool District on Sunday. She was suffering from high fever for nearly a week and died while undergoing treatment at Mahanandi.

Man slips and falls under moving train

A 22-year-old youth Mallik’s trip to attend a friend’s marriage in Kurnool town turned tragic when he slipped while boarding a moving train and was fatally run over by it in Veldurthi railway station on Sunday. Railway police shifted the body to hospital for post-mortem and registered a case.
