According to Patamata police, Kongana Bhavana, 12, along with her sister K. Keerthana, 10, and father K. Mallikarjuna Rao were on their way home to Jakkampudi. When Mr. Rao was entering the Kolkata-Chennai NH near Ramavarappadu Panchayat Office junction from Rajula Bazaar road, a bus knocked down his motorcycle, the police said. While Mr. Rao and his younger daughter fell towards the road side, Bhavana fell on the other side and came under the rear wheels of the bus.
