Funds sought for completion of rail line

BJP State unit president K. Haribabu on Wednesday submitted a memorandum to Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu seeking immediate release of Rs. 500 crore for the commencement of construction of bridges across the three tributaries of the Godavari to ease the completion of the long-pending Kotipalli-Narasapuram railway line.

According to a press release issued by BJP leader Ungarala Chinna Babu here on Wednesday, Mr. Haribabu called on Mr. Prabhu in the latter’s chambers and submitted a memorandum seeking the completion of the long-pending railway line project. Bridges have to be constructed across the tributaries Gowthami, Vasishta and Vainateya to complete the railway line that was sanctioned dated back in 2001 and the land acquisition for the project was already completed.
