Although the flood level in the Godavari has come down slightly below the third warning level at Bhadrachalam on Monday evening, the plight of people hard hit by flash floods remained unchanged in several flood ravaged villages across the Bhadrachalam and Palvancha divisions.

The road connectivity to several villages in Wajedu, Kunavaram, V R Puram, and other tribal sub-plan mandals remained cut off.

Sanitary conditions

Meanwhile, three fever patients of a tribal habitation under Regulagandi panchayat limits in Manguru mandal were shifted to the primary health centre in the mandal headquarters on Monday after their health condition deteriorated.

The poor sanitary conditions in low-lying areas in Bhadrachalam and elsewhere in the division continued to pose health hazards to people residing in flood-hit areas.
